Safety Harness & Scaffold Inspection Services
Safety Harness Legislation and how it affects the industry
With Health and Safety becoming ever more strict in our industry, safety harness inspection and testing is under new legislation to ensure they are up to the task of keeping our work force safe.
Usually Safety Harnesses require a visual inspection daily and a full inspection by certified persons every 6 months. However, due to the heavy use of harnesses in the scaffolding industry they are now required to have a full inspection by a LOLER qualified person every 3 months.
Why have we become LOLER registered?
With the average cost of a harness inspection costing around £22 + vat, the new legislation is pushing the yearly cost upwards of £88 per year per harness. With an average scaffold gang of 5 men this equates to £440 + vat per year.
Safety is at the forefront of everything we do and so we are taking the initiative and offering Safety harness testing from £16 per harness with a discount for 5 or more harness inspections at a time. Making the inspection more affordable for all our industry, because cost shouldn’t dictate safety.
We will provide certificates and reports for inspections highlighting any defects or issues found in line with LOLER guidlelines. We also offer advice and training for in house daily inspections and maintenance to keep your team safe throughout their daily grind.
